Yeah, of course...........But, are you crazy, are you going to move from United States to Colombia???? everybody would kill to go to your country......I'm not from Colombia (Im peruvian) but, it's a poor country, The FAP (their terrorists) are still alive and their goverment is as terrible as ours.

Colombia busted a passport faking ring in early 2006 that was carried out by some of the Muslim population in Maicao. You will be asked what your religion is when you apply for an Alien Card and the rumor on the street is that Muslims are very often denied said card which is needed to rent an apt. Colombia a has a variety of cultures, races and of course relgion.

One of the highest conentration of muslims reside in the North coast (Barranquilla - especially) and on the the San Andres Island.

European airline AirComet has new flights to Colombia and Low cost Spirit airline has just been authorised new trips to Colombia as well, creating more traffic - and the demand of a new airport is in the works.

You want to be really careful.  Colombia has some really nice parts, but, unless something has changed in the last few years, there are also some dangerous parts of the country.  You want to make sure you don't wind up settling someplace dangerous.  Check carefully.

I travel to Colombia every year and stay for a month or so since my wife is Colombian.  Colombia is a beautiful country and the people seem to be relatively tolerant.  I travel to Bogota, Cartegena and southern departments and have never had a problem.  Security is still an issue, but tremendous gains have been made in the last 6 years.  Common crime is more of a problem now then the rebels (unless you go wondering around in the boondocks).  Poverty drives both however.  

Colombia is 95% Catholic so I'd keep my religious preferences to myself.  But there is a Middle Eastern community (might be Christian) in the north.

I think it is a good place and hope to retire there in 2-3 years.  Obviously some parts are better than others.  Bogota is like New York with better weather.  I prefer the south - fewer people and less expensive, but fewer services.

Even the most popular religion in catholic muslim is not problem. Most part of the muslim people is in the Atlantic coast.

Yes, if you find the job.... you can do it, now probably they will hire more people on the airlines due to Bogota is building a new airport.

Good place, beautiful country and there are some advices that you must hear.

For example is better if you move to some of the principal cities, like Bogota, Cali, Medellin.... don't forget to drink bottle water meanwhile you get used to our water... But i think is a nice chose to come and stay in my country.

One of the best things about Colombia is that we aren’t racist, or have any sort of religious inclination or preference despite the country being mainly Catholic.

2nd. If you work in the Airline field well Colombia is quickly becoming the 'hub' of the Americas (Colombia wants to compete with Panama) and it seems to be true. There will be a complete expansion and modernising of the El Dorado Airport and companies like Avianca have orders for 47 new airplanes. So you would be getting in at the right moment.

One more thing and to refute some of the previous comments, IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN TO COLOMBIA OR DO NOT CURRENTLY LIVE THERE AND CANNOT SPEAK INTELLIGENTLY ABOUT THE COUNTRY THEN IT WOULD BE WISE TO REFRAIN FROM GIVING MISLEADING INFORMATION.
