  1. Okay i did a report on this so i don't have a real experience of it.

    you work with hair, nails, and skin.

    cleaning the tools, products, and work areas

    Answer phones and book appointments

    File and keep records

    Order products

    Earnings:

    you would earn from less than $6.68, to more than $18.78 per hour, depending on their skill level.

    Getting started:

    Training usually lasts nine to 24 months

    Graduated from state-licensed  barber or cosmetology school

    Need a license from the state you are working in

    Must pass written and exhibit test to get license

    16 years old at least

    Some states you have to graduate first

    others 8th grade education

    Some allow a apprenticeship as substitute for graduating

    Traits needed:

    Communicate- talking with a client

    Creativity- creating new/different hairstyles

    Concentrate- not be easily distracted

    Punctual- on time for appointments

    Friendly- socialize with customers

    Visualize- see what it would look like

    Advantages:

    Meet lots of people

    Sometimes can schedule your own appointments

    Disadvantages:

    Stand for long periods of time

    Long hours (evenings and weekends)

    Touch other’s hair, skin, or nails

    Working conditions:

    Almost always work indoors.

    Update and use job-related knowledge.
