  1. Awesome. i bought a >10mw green laser from ebay for 26 bucks.

and OMG its soo d**n bright.

i went to a open field at night i turn the laser on. i was like WTF it goes soo far. it went soo many miles down the road.

    i was going crazy.

  2. Any laser over 5 milliwatts will be visible in the dark.

As fun and awesome as laser pointers seem, be careful where you buy them from. Do not buy a laser from "wicked lasers", I ordered a 75 milliwatt green laser from them, and it was confiscated by the FDA *and* Homeland Security. I received a note in the mail saying they disposed of it, and that it's illegal to have a laser over 5 milliwatts...which really sucked, because I looked forward to popping balloons and catching stuff on fire from far away! >=[ Good thing I got a refund!

So just get any laser that is close to your area so the FDA won't look through it and take it away from you. eBay is always a safe place to buy, you can get a wicked laser from there! But make sure the seller is shipping the item from inside the US...not from China, where shipping is like $100. for $200, you could get a 50mW or 75mW laser... those can pop balloons, catch things on fire, and probably even has open cut healing power (not approved by the FDA though).

Just find a good deal on eBay, and be careful buying. Goodluck!
