I'm thinking about buying new camera. Does anyone have advice?

I've been thinking about getting a Nikon D60. Is this a good choice?

Hello...a couple of my friends own a Nikon D60 and from what i've heard is that for an entry level DSLR, it performs very well. If you have spare time you might wanna check the posted images in flickr.com or the reviews from fredmiranda.com. There is also a videotour at cameralabs.com. You'll get very good reviews there. If you're not too crazy about having a Liveview where you can compose and shoot with your subject displayed on the lcd, then D60 is a good choice for you. You might wanna check out the Canon lineup also.;)

if you want beautiful pictures, you should get brands like nikon or canon. personally, i have a canon sd750 and it recieved high ratings on many websites. it works really well and its quite cheap!

Instead of shelling out so much money for your limited photo use, why not look into "renting" a D60 to complete your photo assignments.  Why tie up your money on cameras which surely will be upgraded to even newer models which will eventually result in falling prices and ownership of obsolete equipment.

the d60 is great. go ahead and get it. you won't need anyother camera with those features. beliv me.
