I'm thinking about buying photoshop. Suggestions/advices please?

I just wanted a program to edit my digital pictures and just have fun with some graphic design. I don't intend to go professional or anything, so is it really worth spending money on a program? I don't really know much about photoshop so any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated!

Why would you buy it? You can get it full version for free at torrents for example www.mininova.org just search for photoshop.
