I'm thinking about cleaning houses for some side money, any advice?

I have been watching a couple kids for a long time and think I'm about done, could work less hours just cleaning a house. My friend put a ad in the paper and she is doing well. She just charges 15 bucks an hour and uses their cleaning supplies.

You will have more clients than you can handle if you can establish some trusted references. I suggest you start by cleaning houses for people you know. Then using them a references get refferals to people they know.

Since I hire people all the the time to clean my homes the main ingredient I look for is trust. Solid reference from other clients affords them a premium price.

So how can you make a 6 figure income doing this. Build trust  by cleaning homes of people who trust you now for 15 bucks an hour. Establish the references , get referrals, then go up to 20/ hour. Then, time to expand, hire some others at 15/hour but charge 25 hour.  

Another idea, start with using their cleaning supplies But later start giving an option for you to supply the chemical free cleaning supplies. This will create a huge premium. Using natural cleaners is not a options many provide.

It helps if you get bonded.  I won't hire a house cleaner who isn't.

Get a few houses in the same area so that you save time on travelling and generate more money in a shorter time.

Oh yes, don't answer any ads from very old men. They usually want women to clean in the nude.
