I'm thinking about getting Vonage.?

I have cable internet and am thinking about getting Vonage. Can anyone give me any personal expierience advice as to the sound quality and if it slows your internet down.

I download alot of large files on a regular basis.  If I am trying to use Vonage phone at the same time the voice quality gets very spotty and you miss words or hear bad echoing.  I dislike the cost also.

I found magicjack.  this device plugs into your usb and only costs $20 a YEAR after the first $40 expense (device and 1 st year service).  I did not find any call quality problems even while downloading.

Paul C is right, forget Vonage .....get the MagicJack.....!

never heard of it.....MagicJack is the Vonage Killer!!!
