I'm thinking about getting a new stereo for my truck...?

and i can't make up my mind about which one to get...

first of all, there's about a $35 difference between them..

but i dont know why..

could someone please tell me the difference between these stereos?

and if you know of any other good stereos of the similar price, could you help me out?

by far the top one you listed is a better choice  more room for expanding your system in the future   always go with more rather than less     adding to a sytem little by little is cheaper than replacing a deck every time you want too add an amplifier

The second one only has one set of pre-outs, the first one would be a better choice if you plan on adding any amplifiers (for your internal speakers or a sub). As far as being good, both of those are decent stereos. I currently have the Pioneer DEH-P400UB and have had no issues at all with it, and previously had a Pioneer for 3 years with no issues worth noting.

I think the top one is the better of the two. It has more features and will allow you to do more. If you are looking for something that just plays music the bottom ( less expensive ) will do. However if you are looking for a stereo that will run a sound system for your car the top one is better. It will allow you to run at least two different amps, it has a descent built in amp, descent (2.2 volt) output, and low frequency setting for subwoofer. They are both built well but the top one just has more features.
