I'm thinking about getting a strip of my hair dyed purple. Do you have any tips on what to do and what not do?

I have a purple streak on each side of my head I have them placed where I can hide them or show them off. I lighted my hair a little with bleach if you are doing purple it doesn't have to be super light then I used Raw Deep purple from Hot topic and left it on for about an hour then I shampooed and conditioned. I did this about 3 months ago and I have not had to touch them up once so just touch up as needed but it last pretty long just when you go to shampoo dong soak it in shampoo. Good luck have fun :)

bleach a piece of your hair [where you want it purple]

but

i'd recommend you do it underneath a layer

so when it grows out,

you wont be able to see your roots

do it under a layer. i think it would look really cute. ever seen selena gomez's red streak or jordin sparks orange streak. well i think those are good ideas to look at.
