I'm thinking about getting a subwoofer, what do you think about the Hifonics ZX12D enclosure?

they make good amps, but i looked the subs and yea they c**p, like they will bang but if u want a good on buy another one.

i have 2 12' kickers L7  in a sealed box with a Hifonics BXi 1208D amp and its one of the loudest system around.

but even with one 12' L7 its still loud as h**l.

avoid all of their stuff like the plague, they make cheap over rated flea market grade stuff- mediocre at best

their amps don't put out anywhere near the amount of wattage that they claim and their subs would blow if you hooked them up to an amp that was actually putting out their rated advertised wattage

you need to look into companies that are CEA-compliant

which means that the amps produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion and the subs can handle their rated advertised RMS wattage

save your money.. i wanted sub so bad for my car from the time i was 16 till i was 20. They sound sweet, but think of what else you could do with that cash. besides a car is a very poor investment. the moment you buy it, it drops in value and continues to drop the older it gets and the more miles you put on it.
