I'm thinking about getting a tragus piercing..?

Question

I've wanted one for a pretty long time and i think i'm finally gonna get it :) I just wanted to know what to expect, from people who have/had one.

Will it be really sore a couple days after I get it pierced???

I've had a couple helix piercings, and I have an industrial piercing. Is the pain similar to that?

How painful would you say it was, from 1-10 (10 being the worst), and do you think the pain was worth it??

I got mine done a week ago and it didn't hurt that bad but it does heal slow and mine is still sore but it should be ok!

I recently just got my tragus pierced.  It swelled up a little bit for a few days after, but after soaking it with a warm sea salt solution it cleared right up!

It wasn't painful at all.  However, it was the first piercing I actually felt the needle going through!  Haha, but no, really .. it is nothing you shouldn't be able to handle! :]

well just make sure u clean it well with a saline solution and/or Renu eye contact cleaner. It cleans/disinfects cuase it has antiseptic and has salt in it to help it heal.

I think that would be pretty painful. But it does afterall, depend on how high your pain thresh-hold is. All in all, it will hurt. You're getting a whole through your body.

I got my cartilage done about 2-3 weeks ago and its fine xD

when i got that pierced, it was just a tiny pinch, i was kinda shocked. But saying that, the tragus is thicker..Anyway good luck with it! (:

if it's done by a competent & capable person you trust, you should have no problems.

It can be a bit more sore compared to other standard piercing depending on how easy your tragus is to get at, if you see what I mean.

the smaller your tragus, the more likely some pain & discomfort.

After care is the same as a regular piercing.

It will soon calm down.

I had my tragus pierced last december.

If anyone tells you it doesn't hurt...they're lying to you. Mine hurt ALOT..Deffinetely a 10. The piercer had to ask me if I was alright...lol It hurt more than any of the other piercings I have gotten since the cartilage is SO much thicker. But it was well worth it, I love it! It's just...never ever ever coming out! =)

It was not sore after a few days...but make sure you keep it clean (I'm sure I don't have to tell you this since you already have piercings) The hardest thing to get over was how funny it felt at first since nothing had been there before.

DO NOT GET IT PIERCED WITH A STUD. You're more likely to get an infection. And make sure you go to a clean piercer.

mine hardly hurt at all, probably a 2, i don't think it will hurt for you considering you already have those other piercings, but yeah the pain will be similar to them, but it's over really quick.  it's actually not that sore, and after a couple of weeks it feels fine, no pain or anything.
