Is there a safe deposit box or something in Tijuana to keep your belongings safe? I don't want to carry my passport or drivers licence. Mainly because I might run into the federale and I can say that I'm poor.

  1. There's little item you can wear inside your clothing that holds a passport and money. Good hotels have safes...don't bring anything you can't afford to lose. The federales don't want you unless you're representing the cartels.

  2. You can get a passport holder or "trvel wallet, that hangs around your neck in a pouch under your shirt.  Why on earth do you think you will have trouble from the "fedrales?"  You should have your I.D. WITH you.

  3. Some hotels have a safe for their guests to keep items in.

  4. buy a suit case lock, leave it in your suit case and lock it up,but you need an I D at all times, just in case something happen, like if you get ran over, no i d. they will cremate you.?

  5. Sorry, but I think Tijuana is the armpit of Mexico and would look for more interesting and safe places to visit (like Mazatlan, Mexico City, Guadalajara or Merida).   I find Tijuana to be dirty and unsafe in general and have major embarrassment as I watch my fellow American tourists act like the tourists from Hades while there.  I don't think many Mexicans enjoy going there either and there are no scenic natural areas near there (except for the Pacific Ocean - and there are better spots for enjoying that).
