I'm thinking about modding an XBOX 360 controller to replace the D-pad with the D-pad from the Playstation

Might take a little creativity, but the only thing I hate about my 360 is the bloody D-pad. I'm thinking of setting the Dpad into the controller (The way the PS controller is), instead of having the whole thing moving around in there. Anyone done this before, or know what I could use to surround the Dpad so it stays in place? Or would anyone be interested in buying one if the production process goes alright?

Don't think it will work, I've took apart ps controllers as well as controllers with a similar style d-pad and I don't think the ps d-pad has any chances of fitting there. Its very hard to explain the difference.

But if you really want to use the ps d-pad I've seen a guy take the whole 360 controller and put it inside a ds3, and it used the ps d-pad.
