I'm thinking about moving to Roatan Island, does anyone have any useful information?

It is paradise and the cost of living is a pittance compared to the U.S.  The native people are friendly and helpful and you probably won't lack for anything.  However, Roatan has been "discovered", people and developers are flocking in, there is a construction project of one kind or another around every corner, and the infrastructure, by no stretch of the imagination, is keeping up.  Just don't expect it to remain the quiet, quaint little island you saw before or or are seeing now.

Yes get your dive Instructor rating. Youll easily find a job. It pays lousy.. but youll live in Paradise.
