  1. well I want to assure you that Mary Kay does not test on animals and I am so glad you decided to investigate before making your final decision I have been selling Mary Kay 3 1/2 years now and I have made it to directorship Mary Kay is a phenomenal and reputable company and you are going to love the experience I want to encourage you because alot of times people go off of hear-say and never get there facts straight and if you indeed need to speak with me I am open and I will give you my experience I am actually going to pursue Mary Kay full-time soon so congratulations if you have actually made the decision to become an entrepreneur with us and if you need a coach by all means send me a message virtuousmk@yahoo.com its my job as a leader in Mary Kay to mentor and coach woman and men into independence and Mary Kay is along the line of Mac, Este Lauder and Clinique and so its not that Avon is cheap and we are more expensive we are just in 2 different arenas and if people think we are to expensive then they probably need to become a consultant and take advantage of our 50% off as a consultant so if that is you please feel free to contact me I can help you start this magnificent business and make your dreams bigger! much success see you at the top!

  2. AVON because Mary Kay costs too much money!

  3. Ok, well although you won't make great great money, avon is definately the best seller..... simply because many people don't buy mary-kay because they test on animas. Your best bet is to try somehing called arbonne, though! I hope I helped! My aunt sold mary-kay and she quit selling it because they test on animals. My granny sells avon and makes pretty good money, actually!

  4. I would never buy avon. Avon sells a bunch of cheap garbage that is horrible for use. I have used avon makeup, and that thing was the cheapest c**p I've used. It made my face break out. My mom bought a nice looking necklace from avon, but then it caused a lot of little red bumps on her neck and chest.

I have bought mary kay items. Their items arent cheap. I used their face products for blemishes/acne and they have cleared my face up really well. I get the one or two pimples here and there.

But you should look at your potential clients. For example, if you have lots of 16-30 year olds, they will most likely go for makeup and face cleansers. Most women, young girls will buy makeup, and would love a nice facial to open their pores, its a sort of spa treatment.

If your potential customers are 35-60 year olds, they will probably buy avon products, more for their kids than themselves. Or they may buy other items such as slippers and the such

  5. First I need to correct the person who is misinformed Mary Kay does NOT test on animals it was one of the first companies to sign with PETA and has been working with them to find alternative ways of testing for years.

There is a market for both companies that is why they have both been around so long and are both doing well.  Personally I love Mary Kay I have been using it for years and started selling it 4 years ago.  They have a smart business plan that is very simple you make 50% on everything you sell.  avon cost less to start but it's business plan is complicated you have to earn your discount plus the catalogs change so often.  Some people will say Mary Kay cost too much they are not your market just go to the department stores and see how many people are spending way more on MAC and Lancone.   I also think that Avon sells too many things so you get orders here or there but no sold repeat customers that is what i love most about Mary Kay I do a show or hold a facial and I get reorders 3 or more times a year form the same customer then they introduced me to people as well as coming to me for gift ideas and so on Mary Kay is more about a service then selling so you need to sit down with someone form each and get the facts to see what fits your life.  I know so much about Avon because I know many people including my Mary Kay sales director that sold it.
