I'm thinking about taking a short trip to the Dominican Republic?

What type of things are there to do? Is it safe for a female traveling alone? Anything you have to share is appreciated.

Of course it is safe (this is not Afganistan or Africa) Go to your local travel agent he/she will tip you on the best formula for you. I suggest Puerto Plata there is a lot more to do and to discover and not so boring as for ex. Punta Cana. I hope this helped a bit, if you need more indo just mail me [e-mail]

There's no shortage of things to do, scuba, tours, golf etc.  however you would be best not to be roaming around by yourself away from your resort at night and during the day time the same as any tourist area don't wear expensive jewelry or flash a wad of money.  Use common sense and you will be fine.

I agree Puerto Plata is the best. Especially Playa Dorada.

trsut me no matter wht you do there you will have fun..there are alot of tourists and visitors all year along..yes since you dont know anyoen int he island just stay in a resort..

its a beautiful country
