  1. South Africa is such a beautiful place to visit... been there about 5 times and the people are so wonderful ...truly!

I can't help you with rates,  they change all the time,  but if you go enjoy it ... it's the trip of a lifetime

  2. Remember that you are just a life-support system for your credit card so just be very careful, don't take any risks and have a great time.

  3. You should go there in 2010 and watch the World Cup! I'm sure there'd be a looot of tourist around that time.

  4. There are many Asian tourists here, and you will definitely be fine in South Africa (and completely socially accepted)

If you want to go on a tour, take a look at http://www.sa-venues.com for accommodation or tours, and http://www.southafrica-carhire.com for car hire.  You are looking at a big difference in price for a car once you go past 5 people.  On http://www.first-carhire.co.za you will find the Group B (suitable for 5), Group I (suitable for 6) and Group Y (suitable for 8)

  5. Oh, there are lots of Asian people here. Lots of Chinese restaurants, and Indian ones too. Prices are high in SA but I think you'd still be able to manage, but it will be expensive.

    Have a great time.

  6. It sounds like there are some serious problems there with the locals accepting ANYONE who is foreign.  The World Cup could potentially be moved to the US or Germany because the problems are so bad.  For now I would consider staying away.
