  1. I am not sure about the UK, but I will let you know that the current waiting list for China is about 3 years long.

  2. Having just completed the papers for adoption from China, the cost is approx $13-17,000 by the time you travel to China and stay 2 weeks and the wait is 18-20 months at this time.  I do not know if the UK is easier.

  3. I read some of the answers here before I began to type ---Just adopt a child -what difference does it make from where that child comes- a precious little life will be raised by parents who love it.

I wish you and some fortunate little one good health and long successful lives together.

  4. I am curious now, so I guess I am going to ask a question.  Seems that there are a lot of children state side that need to be adopted.  What is the reason for adopting out of country?  Is it quicker?  Less expensive?

  5. I'm not aware of the UK doing international adoptions (I'm making a grand assumption that you're in the US).  China has changed their process and so it's taking a LOT longer and is a LOT more complicated.

  6. well ,thats hard to say because in china its so overpopulated they'll be happy to give the little child a new home but you have to go there to get her, and they might not understand english and you might catch a disease while your there and she or  he will have to get shots, but it has stricter regulations. in the UK, thers no shots or traveling but you gatta be interveiwed, they have to come see your house, visit you, and everything. so i guess UK would be easier.

  7. well u can go to a private lawyer for one. my kids ped doctor is a specialist in adopting babies form china, she even has 6 of her own from there. I would adpot from china first, knowing what she does when she adopts from there it will be alot easier. good luck
