I'm thinking of buying a kayak....?

how much should i expect to spend for a beginner's kayak? i intend to use it on local creeks mostly, maybe some lakes. what features do i want to look for? any suggeted sites or places to purchase one? it would be an adult's kayak.

Visit a water sports shop. Take some kayak lessons. Use search and check your area for shops or schools. You may be better off buying a used kayak to start with. Try a classified ad in your local paper. Many clubs build their own kayaks. The kayak is only part of the total expense.
