SO seriously like I love italian food I mean seriously love it... But I am concerned.. I went to this American/Italian restaurant to test the water over here.... There was surf and turf on the menu... wtf... The only italian dish was Pizza... It wasn't even pizza the base was like 3" thick and it was just bread man.. It was a pile of c**p...

So where do I need to go in the states where I can get authentic Itailan cuisine... The real ****! not some waiter pretending to be Marlon Brando and serving me dishes like "Godfather Meatballs" etc..

Olive Garden is nasty, stay away! New York is a good place to go to get food, period.  If you want pizza that is the place to have it.  Find smaller locally owned restaurants.  Food Network has shows that visit restaurants, you might want to look there for some ideas.

All major cities in the US will have a few places with authentic Italian food. Check out some restaurant guides online for cities you're interested in. Hole-in-the-wall or family businesses are usually better than large chain restaurants. I think the northeast (NYC, etc) has a larger Italian immigrant community than many other parts of the country, though.

You must be more specific.  It depends on where you go in America.  The bigger the cities, the more authentic it will be.  Don't even go NEAR pizzahut or dominoes - i'm american and even i think it sucks.
