What kind of movies should I show, and what type of concession stand goodies would you recommend?

I want to make sure the locals will enjoy my theater.

  1. Well there's the old standby, Kung Fu double features on Saturdays.

    I would avoid the following:

    Apocalypse Now

    Full Metal Jacket

    Rambo

    Platoon

    Forrest Gump

    and reruns of Tour of Duty and China Beach.

    I think a good mix of Asian and North American films would be suitable.

    Make sure the snack bar has popcorn, sushi, and BBQ'd pork.

  4. I don't know about the movies, because they will all have to be in subtitles, but definitely stock Windex, Tabu perfume,  American flags and olive oil in your concession stand.

  7. Avoid Will Ferrell movies.  Tall white guys scare Asians, plus he's not that funny.

  8. How about a Tony Jaa/Jet Li film festival. I just can't see enough people kicked in the head. The concession stand should be stocked with hashish and M&Ms.

  9. Rather than movies, can we have a musical version of Hogan's Heroes performed by the local troupe?

    As for snacks, I hear that Skittles act as currency here. Maybe you can blow peoples' minds by selling Skittles in exchange for Skittles.

  10. It's gotta be Kung Fu and p**n. Plus Rocky Horror Saturday at midnight. I can't wait to hear the locals sing "wet's do da time wap again!!!"

    if you know what I mean.,.,.,.

    what ever you play after that will entertain the wold in a way beyond my understanding

    they might camp out in front of the dores for Weeks

    and demand more pop corn
