Question:

I'm thinking of purchasing the Denon 4308. Or.. Should I wait?

I've heard of something called HQV (or something like that) which Denon presumably doesn't have, but then I've heard Denon has things on their Receivers that no other A/V Receivers have.

So if I want to go for overall sound and video quality, including THX and maximum Dolby Settings, which would be the best A/V Receiver for me?

  1. What exactly do you require from the receiver and how are you going to use it? When you have found the answer to this one, think of the money you can spend on it and then go to your nearby store and hear the various models that suit your requirements. Trust only your own ears and buy the one that sounds the best. If possible try it out in your home too.

Denon is also a perfectly nice choice.

Information about HQV or Hollywood Quality Video processing can be found at the links below. Do check their guidelines for choosing a home theater too.
