I'm thinking of renting a car and driving from buenos aires to iguazu falls. have you done this?

is it better to just fly instead? how are the roads? how long would the trip take? (i live in california and will be visiting argentina.)

  2. Hi, I´m María Laura and I´m from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Also, I´m a tourist guide and a travel agent so I know a lot about these.

    You question depends on what do you like more.

    From Buenos Aires you can fly to Iguazu, is around 2 hs fly and the only airline that goes there is Aerolineas Argentinas (www.aerolineas.com.ar), is USD 291 (if you´re from USA, i don´t know if you are from another country).

    The other option is to drive, the roads are very good. You have 1200 km (I don´t know how much in miles) and it would take you around 14 hours. I went to Iguazu by bus, that it almost the same that the car, and the landscapes are just beautiful, so I recommed the car, but it depends on what would you like to do.
