I'm thinking of starting an Etsy store to sell my craft. It's something I'm good at, it has a relatively low overhead, no competition yet, and I have some good ideas.

Here's what I know:

1) Take lots of clear, attractive photos of your craft.

2) Have a professional-looking Etsy page.

3) Provide lots of information on the product and great customer service.

4) Be the best in your area; have fabulous products you'd like to buy.

What else do I need to know?

  1. go to www.etsy.com and check out the selling process on their site. What are the fees or hidden downfalls. Look at it like it's a liability instead of a potential asset. If you have the funds to back up your investment, give it a wiz. I sell my products online (www.flavorsavoronline.com), and local store owners. Every aspect of a big investment must be investigated.
