You should try crochet or knitting.  You can get really cool and free patterns online.  Also, you can make some money out of it if you sell hats and scarves on ebay :)

Have you tried encaustic art? Its relatively cheep for the equiptment and the results are great. Have a look on the internet of all the different things you can do.

Papermaking is always fun and you could use this to paint on.

Some of my pastimes are playing my guitar, riding my bike, painting, sewing, juggling ( tones your arms and improves coordination), climbing, drawing, shopping is great fun ( especially shoes, clothes, books and art shops), cooking, knitting, crocheting ... i could go on  but i will stop there.

Any of these would be something different or even  getting a few friends together and having a movie night in or go and do a class together <- something you would not normally do eg dancing, yoga, swimming, walking ... anything :-)
