  1. not a good idea, removing the toilet and sink is no big deal and believe me buyers check bath rooms and kitchens like a marine drill Sargent inspects his troops.do the job right it will be worth the effort.

  2. It just will not look like a pro job.the toilet should never be left in place. If you ever have to replace the toilet it will never fit in the old tile mold.

  3. Pull them, it's not as hard as you think it is. Get a how-to-book so you'll have proper directions . You'll be glad you did.

  4. Sure you can tile around it.  And it will look pretty ugly.  If you want to do it right, pull the toilet and if a pedestal sink, pull that also.  Set the tile, grout and reinstall the fixture(s).  And you will spend less time on the project.  Trying to scribe around the fixture(s) with tile take more time than pulling the toilet and reinstalling.  BTW, hope you have the adequate substrate for tile.  If you thinking of just tiling around the fixtures, it makes me think you are setting tile directly over the old flooring.  Nine times out ten, that in itself is a bad move.  Most flooring is not a suitable substrate for tile.  So what are you setting tile directly on?

  5. definately pull the toilet it is very easy to reset , if the sink is a vanity you surely can tile up to it and make it look good . If it is a pedestal i would pull it and tile under it .  it is a good idea to remove them if possible
