I'm too scared to study for my final exam??

So my finals are REALLY SOON.

I want to study, I have it mostly planned out, but I'm too scared of seeing that heap of information in front of me!! I can't really explain it, but basically I feel really overwhelmed.

I REALLY want to study but being overwhelmed and scared is what I end up feeling and I push studying off for the day...then it becomes two days...and finals get nearer and nearer.

I don't want to cram this time, (even if I'm a person that works better under pressure, I hate, HATE, cramming, even if it's a bit of a habit) and I really want to pass.

Help! What do I do??

  1. Start studying now. Take the information in little bits. Don't try to learn it all at once. Take a bit study it. Know it very well. The move on. Do not take all the information and study it everyday you will most likely mix everything up. Take it easy and just relax. When you study keep your mind clear and learn your information in bits.

    Good luck on your exams.

  2. don't get scared neither of the exam nor the syllabus. do you heard about the proverb which says " A long journey will starts only with the single step" so the same case so don't get scared of your syllabus get started with your syllabus slowly dividing into small bits and have a group study with your friends if your friend completed one topic means ask your friend to summarise the topic and give a brief about the topic so that you can have a idea about the topic then it will be easy while you read that topic.Go on ............. in this process you will complete your huge syllabus soon..........

    All the Best.

  3. Maybe get a small group of classmates together to study & quiz each other.

  4. dont worry just close ur eyes everyday and think about god and ask him to help u in the coming exams i was to tensed in my exams but i did the same thing and do this every time u sit to learn just a minute then wen u write ur exams befor u start think about ur and god then ask him to help u and then recall wat u have learnt if u do allthese things atleast one of it must work.ALL THE VERY BEST.

  5. msn or call friends to study and review stuff  works for me

  6. Get over it and move forward.

You will have greater, more stressful problems later in life.  Relatively minor things like school exams, while stressful, are life's way of preparing us for greater challenges later on.  Learn to step up to the challenge - whatever it may be, and take your best shot.  It's one of the best skills to develop and it helps combat procrastination.

If you don't want to cram, break the work up over several days.  Take a break for five minutes every 45 minutes or so - it'll help you retain information.

I would also recommend making sure that you're familiar with all the requirements of your teachers.  You can save time by making sure you're only studying material on the syllabus that will be included in the exam.

Avoid caffeine - it interferes with memory.

Study without music, TV, Cell phone, or other distractions.

    Good luck!
