I'm traveling on a plane, what should I expect?

I've only flown on a plane once before by myself, but it was a straight flight from one state to another. Now I'll be traveling to Asia (tomorrow) and will change planes a few times. What should I expect with the whole process? I haven't been on a plane in several years and wonder if anything's changed.

  1. Nothing much.  Just expect a type of bus ride move.  And when switching planes make sure to be on time and early.  Nothing has really changed.

  2. One take off and landing.

  3. nothing has changed it will be fine but they have started to charge for extra carry-on items i guess do to the fact that gas has gone up and everything .......anyways good luck:)

  4. Probably not much has changed man. Just bring some snacks and some self entertainment to keep you occupied. I usually stay up really late or all night the night before a long flight so I can zonk out on the plane. It can get uncomfortable sitting in one spot that long. The changing planes process could get confusing at foreign airports, just to be safe ask the stewardess on the plane for directions when you land. Have fun. Oh yeah and the bag you check has to be under 50 pounds or you have to pay a hefty fee. Yeah some airlines are charging extra for multiple bags too. Check your airlines website.

  5. now u have to stand on ur head once u cross security

    AM

  6. I had several connections on my last trip. Keep an eye of boarding times on your passes. I thought I had a lot more time than I really did for my connecting flights (boarding begins a little bit before departure). One I had as little as 15 minutes. Generally as long as you don't go out of security you have plenty of time between flights.

First thing I did when I got off my flight was check the departures screen to see if any of my gates changed and if my flights were on time. Then find the gate where I needed to be then relaxed a bit.

Have a safe trip and hope you don't have a noisy kid kicking the back of your seat lol.
