Question:

I'm traveling to Dublin Ireland, and am looking for cheap hotels on O'Connell for 6 people. Any help?

Preferably on or near O'Connell Street. Ive never been to Ireland, but it seems as if all hotels charge by person. So basically, I just want a nice affordable place, if possible.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Hahaha .... you won't get cheap in central Dublin, dearie. Unless you fancy a cardboard box.

  2. id agree with above, o connell street is one of the main streets but its surrounding areas are not the nicest! if you want to be right in the centre try near temple bar, grafton street, stephens green, harcourt street has lots of hotels. renting an apartment might be a good option for you. try the short term section of www.daft.ie

  3. There are no obviously cheap hotels on O'Connell Street (or in Dublin for that matter..). Also, hotels in Ireland tend to charge by the room, not per person..

http://www.booking.com/ is quite a good site. Jury's Inns http://www.jurysinns.com/ are one of the cheapest chains.

If there are 6 of you, depending on how long you intend to stay in Dublin, perhaps consider renting a house or apartment http://www.selfcatering-ireland.com/

  4. hmm i dunno if staying on o connell street is a good idea...its a bit rough at night, and def not the prettiest street in dublin, although admittedly it is town centre if thats what youre looking for. Just dont walk home late at night alone if you do end up there. Its fine in the  daytime however.

You could try jurys inn or the travel lodge for some cheap deals...good luck

have a look at this site too, it sometimes has a few bargains
