I'm traveling to Sestriere, Italy this summer,and will be there for a week.Any suggestions on what to do?

I'll be with my wife and parents. We will have a rental car too. We have to go there for a wedding, but are staying for around 8 more days just to sightsee. I'm looking for suggestions as to how we can wisely use our valuable time in Northeast Italy. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks!

You could go to visit Genova and see many lovely things, including the seaquarium, Cristoforo Colombo house.. or you could go in France to see Cannes, Nice or San Remo in Italy.. sooo many things to see there :)

If you enjoy hiking and the mountains in summer plan to spend a day or two in Sestriere and Bardonecchia. Cuneo and the Piemonte hill towns such as Alba and Asti are quite nice. From Sestriere, the Italian Riviera is about a 2-hour drive. Alternatively you could head to France over the Frejus Tunnel just beyond Bardonecchia.
