Question:

I'm traveling to Spain in May!?

Please read carefully, I'm planning on traveling to Spain for about six weeks in May and June, I really want to get the small town experience (I speak fluent Spanish, I'm from Venezuela) so I was thinking about going to this little town north of Malaga called Antequera..... Does anyone here with experience over there think that will be a great place to go.... I want to be able to get up walk down to a small coffee place, walk back... do a lot of backpacking and photographs, then be able to party a little in the local bars or tapas with friendly people.... I didn't want to go to Malaga directly, or Madrid or Barcelona, because since I don't know the area, I thought there would be a bigger chance of me renting a place in the wrong part of town. In Antequera, I found a nice little place on a main street for about $500 dollars for the month. Please let me know what you think and thanks in advance

  1. Hey there

I live in Monda - not far from Antequera and I really like it there, the scenery is gorgeous, we tend to go camping there in the summer.

I wrote an area guide for a client of mine a while back which also covers Antequera - not sure if this would be of use but it lists hotels/bars and places of interest in Antequera, you may wish to read it

Have fun and enjoy your holiday
