I will have 2 large suitcases--each about 50 lbs, 1 personal bag and a backpack. I have never ridden the trains before there. Please tell me what I need to know about using this service.

  1. shame you wont be hauled by a class 37 locomotive anymore): they were hellfire!

  2. you have two choices, by train or by coach ... although the train might be faster, as far as I can see quite often on the train you have to change at Llandudno Junction which is not going to be easy with the amount of luggage you have

I'm a bit concerned about the amount of luggage you propose to take and whether they would allow you to take that much with you ... I can't find any info on the Arriva Trains Wales website, maybe you would be best to check with them

on the coach, National Express limit you to two medium size suitcases weight max 20kg each plus one other bag ... so you're way over their limit

where are you coming from?  if you're travelling from Manchester Airport the coach is by far the easiest way to travel as the coach goes direct from the airport to Bangor without change, but you would definitely need to talk to them about the extra luggage
