  1. I admire and appreciate your interest in wanting to see so much of Italy in a single trip. However, there are quite a few factors that need to be considered in order to facilitate an appropriate answer.

The reason for this is that you have identified ten potential destinations (in six regions) to cover in a relatively short time (14-18 days). I have been to nearly every destination on your list. However, I have done it over a course of multiple (at least three) trips.

Italy's regions and towns have much to offer in terms of local architecture, food, and culture. And that's not even taking into consideration the friendly residents and local intricacies.

And so I am more than willing to answer this question in great detail if you can answer the following questions (so that I can best guide you...):

    1) Do you speak Italian?

    2) What is your closest airport at home? (In your country)

    3) Are you a good driver, and can you drive a manual?

    4) Are you packing lightly (backpacking), or will you be traveling with normal luggage?

    5) Are you traveling alone, with a partner, or with family?

    6) Do you want to start your trip to Italy (up North) in a metropolitan area like Milan, or in a coastal area along the Amalfi coast?

    7) Are you traveling for pleasure or business? (We are imagining pleasure based on your choices..)

  3. Fly into Milan and stay 2 days. Travel to Florence and stay 5 days taking day trips to Pisa and San Gimignano. You are now on sensory overload and a bit fatigued. Travel to Sienna and take a well deserved vacation from your vacation. Spend 2 days in Sienna walking the streets and doing nothing. Go to Rome and spend 8 days. See the sites take it easy. That's 15 days. You've unpacked and packed 3 times.

Next year, fly into Rome and spend 2 weeks on the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento.

Save 2 weeks in Venice for your honeymoon.
