  1. Diapers for sure as well as baby food all in the supermarkets. If you need formula then you'll have to go to a pharmacy and while you'll find it there it will be more expensive than back home (where ever you may be from). Baby formula is more expensive in Italy than any other country in the EU. Many medicines too are more expensive in Italy than elsewhere (even aspirin).

  2. you will find nappies no problem.

depending on brand of baby formula you use, bring your own, its not good to change brand of milk when baby is young.

they have little jars of fruit - the plasmon ones are lovely - and all kinds of jars of dinner so you'll be fine there.

  3. They do but be aware of a few things:

    1. nappy sizes are different in Italy. They have fewer sizes than we do in the UK and USA.

    2. Both baby food and nappies are significantly more expensive in Italy than at home. Supermarkets are cheaper than pharmacies. The cheapest supermarket is Todis.

Remember that the Italians love babies and will do anything to help you!

  4. Yes you can, they might not have the brand you want but they have very similar brands there. You can find baby food and diapers at a pharmacy and grocery store.

  5. You can find baby food and diapers but I'm telling you right now they are both very pricie. They have pampers and some other brands. Baby food is different then in the states though so you need to really watch out with it.

  6. Well im pretty sure people have babies in Italy too. Just go to any store.

  7. No of course not, they don't have babies in Italy. What do you think, duh yes.

  8. I live in Italy and have a 26-month-old son. I can assure you that you can find all modern baby supplies here. You should only have to carry the supplies that you will need for the trip.

The only issue may be if you need certain brands, particularly as it relates to baby milk and food -- you shouldn't change the formula your baby uses. If you baby needs to eat special foods/has special formula you may need to check with the manufacturer to see if it is available. I can tell you that among the easier to find brands here are Plasmon, Nestle and Nipiol, but there are not the more popular U.S. brands such as Gerber or Beech Nut.

For diapers, Pampers and Huggies are available as well as local brands.

Also note that baby formula, food and supplies are available in grocery stores but also in pharmacies here in Italy. Sometimes, believe it or not, pharmacies have a better selection and better prices. (Although, I will warn you that prices for these things in Italy tend to be much more than in the rest of Europe and the U.S., so be prepared to pay more.)

Italians are very welcoming of children and helpful to young parents. I'm sure you will have a great trip.

***For those of you who think this is a silly question, take into consideration that it is not so easy to travel with a small child and you can have concerns that you won't find the products that your child is used to. Adults can be flexible when traveling abroad, but it is not so easy with babies.

  9. I hope you're only joking, otherwise....I think you'd better not go to Italy: It's too sophisticated for you!

  10. Sure, You can buy those stuffs on the local supermarkets. <*-*>

  11. yes u can buy baby food and diapers any country they have babies too lol!i just been to spain and have a choice the same as bk home but can be bit more pricey abroad!

  12. Of course you can. Its not a 3rd world country you know. Have a good trip.
