Question:

I'm treating my cat and house for fleas...?

I've used Indorex spray for the house and powder on my cat - I've spent ages combing him for fleas. I've done considerably well, but there are one or two (that i definitely know of) that i just can't get!

Is it ok for me to leave them - will the spray kill them if they jump to the carpet?

  1. we realised my boyfriends parents cat had fleas while they were away on hol, so we groomed the cat and sprayed it, and got this powder that you shake all over the carpet and then hoover up. we did the powder treatment on a daily basis, so any that got missed on the cat we hopefully collected from the carpet.... they all went in the end. you could always speak to a vet if you want advice on how to keep fleas at bay, or a pet store, like pets at home or something.

  2. Well done for doing so well, two left! Problem is where there are two there are hundreds waiting,, hate them, Once you have them its very difficult to eradicate them, i treated my cat, then tried to treat the house will all that stuff you buy, but the devils kept coming back. so in the end I called the local council. A man came out and sprayed my whole house, everywhere, corners, cupboards, mattresses, everywhere. Haven't seen them since!

  3. I use Indorex spray and cat fles pills which i buy from the pet shop. Fleas are supposed to die once on the floor, if you have sprayed, personally, i dont believe they do..My cat has 1-2 flea pills each week.

  4. Revolution and Advantix are---by far---the best flea control products.  They are expensive, but once the problem is under control, we can stretch dosing out to every six-to-eight weeks and still not have a flea problem. We just have to keep our eyes open for other things the product also cares for, like ear mites.

  5. Fleas on cats are an ongoing problem and the vets sell sprays that are effective both on the animal and on the furnishings.  Identifying 'one or two' fleas means that you are working hard to take a census!  I suggest that you retreat both cat and home at a recommended interval ... ask you vet about this.
