I'm trying out for the highschool vball team, i'm just wondering how many people are taken onto the team?

There's about 30 people trying out? I'm 5'10, what position is that good for?

only really skilled players play a certian position. you didn't say what grade you are in but HS teams have 6 on the court at all times with rotation for "specialists" which are setters blockers diggers and servers most schools that I have seen have about 10-12 players 30 trying out tells me it is a solid school (very high enrollment) or they combine jv and varsity teams (only found at smaller schools).

normally 12-15 people make up a HS team

your height is a good thing....but if you can hit well..you should be outside hitter

if you can jump high...m blocker

if you can control your passes...

then you'll probably make the team cuz you can be a back row player..

12 PLAYERS THEN 3 EXTRA PLAYERS IN CASE ONE GETS HURT OR SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED OUT ON THE COURT

Being 5'10 is very good. You will probably be playing in the front row being either :

     a. outside hitter

     b. right side hitter

     c. middle blocker

     or if you have good hands

     d. setter.

If you are a lefty then playing on the right side is best for you.

And each team is composed of around 12 peope ,give or take.

Well, I can tell you this because I played this year! It takes 15 people to play it! I was a front center, since I am tall. If you are able to bump the ball pretty good, if you can hustle out after the ball, or if you can set, you will definitely get picked for the team!
