  1. well i played on my school volleyball team in jr high. we all thought they were tryouts but after a few practices they told us noone gets turned away if they show up and my school has always been like this. i know if you show you are trying really hard and you dedicate yourself to it. there is no way they can turn you away from being on the team. if you know the rules just go out and practice spiking, serving, setting, and bumping thats pretty much all you need to practice at. and always yell mine when going after the ball . they taught us that in order so we dont run all for the ball and knock eachother out. i know you will be ok. have fun most of all and definitly the bumping and serving most important. if you can serve over hand you got it made. most girls on my team could only serve underhand. plenty of practice and you will be fine. try to encourage some of your friends to play with you so you will have plenty of experience when it comes time to try out. good luck

  2. im on 11th grade vball team this year, and I know how you feel. when i tryed out for the grade 9 team I was ssooo bad, but I loved the game sssooo much, and i knew that if i showed the coach how hard I could work and show the passion i had for the game i might have a chance of getting picked. He did pick me and by the end of grade ten I was one of the best players on the team. Coaches aren't looking for talent they're looking for potential. Good Luck! And show 'em what you've got!
