  1. Good for you! My advice is to take it at your own pace. Some people are fine with making the switch overnight, but a gradual transition is easier for others.

Also, some mock meat brands taste better than others, so it's a good idea to do some taste testing. Here's a list of popular products: http://www.vegcooking.com/guide-favs.asp

  2. My personal view is to first ask yourself, WHy you want to become a vegetarian?  IS it for health, for moral reasons, to fit in with the cool kids, because your favorite star is one, because the tatse of meat makes you sick?

In general my response would be start by only having meat once a day at most, if thats what you already do, then great! Then reduce from there, maybe once every other day, or maybe getting down to once a week.

I have removed lots of meat from my diet for health reasons, I don't like the idea of all of those hormones and anti-biotics etc being pushed into my body. I also don't like that so much land is being used up just to create the food needed to feed the animals we eat. I'm at a point where I probably eat meat 2 times a week, but if it's more than that I odn't worry about it, and if it's less than that, thats also good.

I guess what I'm saying is don't cut meat completly out of your diet just to fit the definition of the term Vegetarian. Do it if it feels right for you, but eat some meat if thats what feels right, and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or calls you.

  3. well my cousin is a vegetarian and how she became a vegetarian is just becasue she saw a dead pig.

but my advice is to try to eat vege foods and not meat foods then sooner or later you'll get used to it.

    hope i helped.

  4. Make a list of your favorite dishes and then find vegetarian version of them.  Vegweb.com is great because people comment and rate recipes.  If you have restaurants that you go to frequently with family and friends look at their menus and have a good idea what you can order before you go.  Look up local vegetarian restaurants and try some of those.

    Good luck!

  5. DONT. God made animals to EAT. Plus if we didnt eat animals then there would be an over population of them. Plus if your a teenager you shouldnt do this. Just saying if you are. Its unhealthy for growth. Meat ROCKS!

  6. i tried not eating meat 4 a whole week and i didnt even last half a day do not think about meat

by the way it depends on how long you have been eating meat 4 if you have been 4 all your life then its gonna be pretty hard

    GOOD LUCK:-)
