  1. we dont have toll free numbers in this country

  2. You can dial American toll-free numbers (800, 888, 877, 866) from the U.K., but you will be charged at your normal international rate, just as if you had called a regular American area code.

In fact with some carriers you will hear a message (from the U.S. end) warning you of this before the call rings, and telling you to hang up if you don't want to be charged.

  3. The company listing the toll free number pays for the calls, therefore, they are already paid for by the company you are calling...regardless of where the call is originated.

  4. it will be toll free only if the company that subscribes to the number allows international calls.

if they do, you will need to dial the AT&T operator and have them complete the call.

I do not know about the UK, but I have called US toll free from China, Hong Kong, Guam, and Japan. The number for the AT&T operator is in the local phone directory or in my case, the hotel front desk had the number.

  5. No, it isn't possible to call toll free to America because there is no reciprocal charging system
