i'm thinking of going vegitarian but there isn't much to eat without meat for a poor family plus i'm a bottomless pit so its very hard. I don't wanna give up fish cuz sushi is just that good. Is there something else i can do? i live in fort worth, texas so anything going on here? food options? clothes? protests? groups? anything.

  1. Stop buying cheap c**p that is made in China or some third world nation by children.

Promote the use of goods made in your own country.

  2. You can be poor and a vegetarian. actually it costs less to eat grains, beans, vegetables, and fruit than meat.

Faux meat costs more, but no one says you have to eat that.

Being a vegetarian is one of the strongest committements and dedication to stopping animal cruelty.

If you need help getting there, there are plenty of free resources on line and you don't have to do it all in one day. you can gradually do it.

here is a website for vegetarian foods

    http://www.vegetariantimes.com

  3. well, i really dont get your argument on being a poor family. a vegitarian diet is actually less expensive. watch these.

the best thing you can do for animal rights is to go vegan or vegetarian.

  4. well, theres plenty of vegeatarian meals out there, and in most cases, veges and pastas etc, are cheaper then meat itself. you just have to make sure you eat the right vegies to get the right nutrients.

If you dont want to go vegetarian, you could just reduce the amount you eat, and if you love sushi, you can be a pescevegeatarian, which is someone who eats seafood.

theres plenty you can do for animal right. volunteer at your local animal shelter. donate to organisations such as peta. use products that arnt tested on animals (read the back of the bottles, it will say if they dont test)

Just doing little things like having 1meatless day a week, and then slowly increasing that can make a large difference to animals.

  5. if you're doing it for the animals go Vegan. Dairy cows endure just as much abuse =( . drinks soy milk and eat cheeses made from soy . u should even cut eggs out. poor chickens=(

  6. Try a bit at a time.

Learn how to cook vegetarian and read up on what to eat so that you are able to be healthy.

Do not stress on how vegetarian you are.

Every little bit you do takes you closer to where you' like to be.

  7. You could join Peta or the Humane Society of the United States and they would email you about protests. I like the HSUS better. If you go to www.peta2.com they will give you a list of companies that do and don't test on animals.  Cover Girl, Olay, oral B, clorox, L'oreal, Arm and Hammer, soft soap, are some i can name off the top of my head that do test. You could bye fake leather for shoes. Print out info to educate people about factory farm abuse, puppy mill, labs, and so on. Although you could be a vegetarian.  It is actually cheaper and the number one way that you could help.
