Question:

I'm trying to eat healthy but I'm still gaining weight....Did this happen to you?

I woke up at 4:10am and so far I've had...

4:15 coffee

5:45 two eggs w/ white toast (no butter).

7:00 1/2 apple and cake dognut...no frosting. Glass of apple juice.

  1. I know exactly what you're talking about. I am a Type 2 diabetic and the doctor and dietitian put me on a strict diet. I'm still gaining weight faster than they want me to. I don't understand how, though. Best of luck to you and your baby!


  2. Me too, I'm 29 weeks pregnant.  I am putting on wt (normal amount) but I can't imagine how.  I eat just as much as I did before I was prego. 2 meals a day, (not a breakfast person) I too wonder why I am putting on wt so fast.  I'm hoping I'm just having at 23 lb baby :)

  3. dont you think babys weigh anything????..and it's good you eating healthy but dont try dieting or cutting back on food if you are hungry-eat...

  4. dont worry, your fine. I'm 26 weeks and gained 41 pounds so far. I should be concerned. Keep eating healthy and dont worry.

  5. I wouldn't worry too much unless you're at risk for diabetes. From what I understand, gaining a pound a week at this point is what's recommended. I would watch the donuts however. Even without the frosting, a cake donut is cooked in pure fat. It may be a good idea to switch to a baked pastry (ask your baker) or a good cup of fruit. The rest of your breakfast sounds fine to me.

  6. 17 pounds isnt that much. you are doing good. and you are more than half way through your pregnancy
