I'm trying to find a ''free'' way to get some old clipping and/or newspaper for a specific date or week

Question

from Aiken SC for the year of 1965 (6/29/1965) . My friend was born there and I would love to get him for his birthday a newspaper from that day/week.

Anyone has any ideas (Not the yearly subscription of some $90.- please ! ) Thanks

A way to find old newspapers is to contact the local library in that area.  Maybe they would have it on the computer and somehow you could download it and that way it would be preserved better than the actual newspaper.
