I'm in Dallas, TX. I'm taking the cert. test next month but all jobs I've looked into want 1-2 yrs experience. Does anyone know how I can find a job with no experience?

  1. Are you talking about the RHIT certification? If so, you should be able to find a job once companies know that you have passed that. Without that, it might be hard to get a job.

I'd hold off on the job applications a little until you take and pass the test. Then send them out again and you can advertise yourself as a RHIT.

Otherwise, just dont' give up on applying, and know that you won't be able to work from home for a few years.

  2. Keep trying. Consider  taking a medical receptionist job just to get your foot in the door.

It's not the gravy train the school promised you, is it? This is one of the most over-hyped jobs out there.

  3. be persistent and look at billing page at PureMedicalJobs.com and also follow up in person if pssoible and tell them you can learn quickly on the job
