  1. V = (pi* h * d^2)/4

    So d = sqrt (4V/pi * h)

    sqrt = square root

    V = volume

    h = Height of cesspool

    pi = 3.14159265

    d = diameter of cesspool

    You need the height to calculate the diameter of the pool. Just substitue the values in the equation and you should get the diameter.

  2. Is it round, if so, all you need to know is the depth.  The equation for the volume of a cylinder is:

    V=h*pi*D^2/4

    Solve for D and substitute the depth for h.

  3. one cubic foot = 7.5  gallons

    so you need 533.33 cubic feet....you want it wide and shallow, or tall and skinny........

  4. how high is it? then we can tell you the diameter.
