I'm trying to find out info about my uncle's suicide- murder in the early 70's Ira & Maxine Collins

This happened in Independance Missouri in the early 70's. I would like to know what happened. This was my daddy's brother. Daddy says Ira didn't kill her and then himeself. There was the question of no blood around her body. and he was found with the gun towards the end of the bed and both his hands folded under his head like he slept. Does anyone remember anything about this?? If anyone does, please contact me.
