  1. My girls carried muffs.

I've seen parasols, kissing balls, lanterns, candles, single flowers.  I've even seen brides carry their flowers attached to a Bible.  And I've seen a Bible Boy instead of a ring bearer.

You want something totally unique?  Have them carry nothing; just be escorted by the groomsmen.

  2. purses are always cute. they could be white or different color than their dresses. congrats and good luck!

  3. I like the feather bouquets. Depending on the color of the bridesmaids dresses, you could do white/ivory feathers with accent of tiffany blue or chocolate brown. Here's some pics:

There are also origami flower balls:

    Or real flower balls:

  4. Depending on the season, parasols, fur muffs, candles, Bibles, your favorite book or books of love poetry, small flags.

  5. I once saw a wedding show where the brides carried white and turquoise asian-style paper umbrellas (the bridesmaids were in Turquoise dresses.  The bride carried one too, but hers was way fancier.  I think the bride bought them for $10-15 each.

I thought that was a very unique alternative to flowers (and useful because it was an outdoor ceremony and very hot and sunny).

  6. do u have a theme for your wedding?

  7. I got married two days before Christmas, and my bridesmaids carried white fur muffs (the things that you put your hands in to keep them warm) decorated with a sprig of holly. It made for really gorgeous pictures, and it was very festive.

  8. ooh, you should totally have them carry a crystal bouquet like this:

  9. ok, these are just off the top of my head, you could make them in your colors for added interest...

    candles

    maracas

    a ribbon "bouquet"

    a feather "bouquet"

    bells

plush polka dotted or striped hearts

fiber optics (best in a dimly lit room)

an interesting piece of glass art, in one or both of your colors, such as a glass ball painted in brown and blue

    glass flowers

fans (with your colors or initials on them)

goodness, I can't think of any more!  I hope that was somewhat helpful!

  10. I am thinking about having my bridesmaids carry a candle.
