A friend of ours recently commited suicide, he suffered from bipolar disorder, at his memorial, somebody read a poem about a man, and in the poem, used metaphors to describe his difficulties, in the poem it talked about how the man fought a war with himself, and said how he may not have won the battle, but he had many victories, every day, as he was so kind to others. I can't really remember any more.
I don't know whether this was written by the person who read it on the day of the memorial, or whether it is a published poem, but has anyone heard of something like this? If so, what is the name?
