I'm looking for something free if available. It also needs to give a valid Diploma. I have an interest in computers, and would like to go to St. Lawrence college as it is near where I live. Any program that is free (or low cost) that allows me to get my high school diploma (valid for at least this college :)?) would be most appreciated. Thank you.

This is the oldest online high school in Ontario.

My friend's son was able to get straight A's so far and he is on his second semester with them.

I don't know what will be free or not, you'll have to check.

Btw, Connections Academy does not exist in Canada.

  4. The Avon-Maitland School Board has an online high school program.  All students in Ontario are eligible to register and the programs are free.  You must pay for any required textbooks though.

It was recommended to me by our local School Board Homeschool Liaison Officer.  I've spoken with lots of parents who have used it for their teens and it is very much respected.

In Ontario, the Independent Learning Centre also has online credit courses that are free.

My daughter is in high school at home, but we haven't used any official online courses yet.
