I'm trying to get into equity analysis in the next few years.?

Question

I want to start my own research so I can show a potential employer that I am not stupid and can actually pick good stocks. I'm not a tech guy, and don't want to analyze pharmaceuticals, either. So, in the next 5-10 years, what areas of analysis are going to be in demand, i.e., what industries? Consumer goods, industrials, metals, etc.? Thanks for your input.

All industries are "in demand". It doesn't matter which industry as long as you make good recommendations.
