  1. The law just states that you cannot have minors with you in the car that are not family members.  In this case you are a legal guardian of this child so the law does not apply in this situation.  Also, look into getting a discount for having a child that is in a carseat for your auto insurance.  I was able to get a nice discount for have a young child in the car in a proper carseat.  They go by the belief that if you are driving with a child you will be a safe driver.  I went with Nationwide and got this discount but they also gave it to me when I switched to Liberty Mutual.

  2. i think so because shes family...but it depends on where you live

  3. Great Question. True you cannot drive with minors in your car however you can drive with family members in your car, so your daughter would be able to and so would younger siblings.it would be a great idea to go to your local police department and ask them the correct way to buckle up your babies car seat! Remember safety first.

  4. Yes. No one will harass you =or arrest you for driving with your baby. If you actually got pulled over, I'm sure they wouldn't consider an infant into th scheme of things

  5. Yes, she is a direct family member.

  6. You need to check with your own state. Even call the police department to make sure. My sister-in-law lives in Michigan where it is legal to breastfeed your child while riding in a car. It's not legal in Ohio. She didn't know that and got a ticket for NOT having the child in a safety seat. Even though she was riding in a car with Michigan tags and was only 1 mile over the border and has a Michigan DL. A few policemen that I talked to about it said that they would have kept that in mind and simply issued her a warning. While the cop that stopped her said that it didn't matter. The law was the law.

So definitely check before you take the advice of people from all over the country who may or may not know about your specific state.

  7. if she's your daughter, yes you can. and idk where you heard about that, cause it's not true. older brothers and sisters drive around the younger siblings all the time.

there is no law like that.

  8. If you have a permit you have a restriction, usually someone with a valid drivers licence must be with you in the vehicle while driving, I don't know which state you live in, check with DMV.
